A Study of Enterococci in Brisbane’s Waterways

Brisbane’s waterways are central to social life and recreation. However, rising enterococci levels—an indicator of faecal contamination—pose a serious risk to public health. The Brisbane City Council monitors enterococci levels across eleven popular sites and publishes the data publicly.

Our upcoming whitepaper outlines strategies to reduce enterococci contamination. Stay tuned and learn how Brisbane’s Waterways and aquatic future can be protected.
